Kitesurf trick
Triple Frontroll
- Jump
- Rotation
Three full forward rotations in one jump. One of the hardest rotation tricks, it builds on a solid double frontroll and needs height and very fast rotation.
How to
Edge hard for height
Ride with speed, edge hard and send the kite for a big jump, only once your double frontroll is consistent.
Start the first roll early
Throw your head and front shoulder downwind as you leave the water.
Stay compact
Keep your knees in and the bar close so the rotations stay fast.
Keep turning
Look over your back shoulder and keep turning through all three rotations without opening up.
Open up to land
Open your body to stop the rotation once you see the landing, steer the kite forward and touch down heading downwind.
Common mistakes
Opening up too early
Stay tucked until you have finished the third rotation.
Not enough height
Send the kite more for hang time before trying the third rotation.
Rotation slowing down
Start rotating as you pop so you have speed from the start.
