Kitesurf trick

Boogieloop

Advanced
  • Jump
  • Rotation
  • Inverted
  • Kiteloop

A kiteloop flown with an inverted frontroll, so you hang upside down while the kite loops. It joins the frontroll kiteloop and the inverted frontroll into one move.

How to

  1. Pop with speed

Take off with good speed and the kite heading to 12 o'clock, on a kite you can loop comfortably.

  2. Start the frontroll

Bring your front knee to your chest and drop your shoulders and head forward into the inverted frontroll you know.

  3. Loop at the apex

At the top, with some height, pull the back hand hard and push the front hand away to loop the kite.

  4. Keep the knee tucked

Hold your front knee tucked so the rotation stays smooth while the kite pulls you round.

  5. Spot and sheet out

Look over your back shoulder for the landing, sheet out to let the kite catch you and land heading downwind.

Common mistakes

  • Looping too early

Wait until you have height at the top before you pull the loop.

  • Legs extended

Keep your front knee tucked so you stay on your axis.

  • Releasing the loop early

Keep pulling the back hand until the kite has come all the way round.
